Oxovasin® (international trademark Oxoferin®) is the topical formulation of the chlorite-based agent referred to in the literature as Tetrachlorodecaoxygen (TCDO). This novel oxygen complex penetrates the tissue where it stimulates phagocytosis, leading to a rapid wound cleansing and effective local in-depth defense against infections. Formation of bright red granulation tissue with an extremely good blood supply is accelerated, leading to a significantly faster epithelisation and formation of smooth and unobtrusive scars.
